A Month of a lot of firsts

We went to the doctor this week. He was 6lb 13 oz, and 25-3/4 in. He is definitely on the small side for his age, but full of so much love. He has become very cuddly this month. We have tried juice for the first time. He did not like it out of a bottle. I think he was confused why it was not milk. So we have a little learners sippy cup. At first he was not sure what to do with the sippy cup. So I let him try with a straw first and surprisingly he was able to use the straw and then figured out the sippy cup with help. But this morning, he decided to try the sippy cup by himself. He just can't lift it yet. But he is definitely getting big so fast.

We have also tried finger foods this past week or so. I have not found anything he won't eat. He has not mastered the art of finding his mouth yet, obviously. He usually just wants mommy or daddy to put it in his mouth for him. He does try but probably only gets 1 out of 5 in his mouth. I found this one stuck to his cheek the other day. The rest usually end up on the floor for Winnie. Carson has already mastered the art of feeding the dog.

First straw and automatic success.

He is beginning to look like such a little boy.

This month he got two teeth, and this is great picture of him sporting them.

With Mommy being home for the summer, he is becoming a little Mommy's boy. He has learned to roll both ways well, and has learned to turn . No forward movements, but he usually likes to turn and find Mommy. Mommy is much more exciting than all the toys.

He is also sitting really well. Daddy was watching him here.

Bath time fun

What is really funny is when he gets his pacifier stuck on his finger. Check out the video and picture. It is pretty cute.

4th of July

Carson loved playing in the water on the 4th!

In Modesto, Fireworks are legal. So we had our own small show of sparklers and fire crackers.

Carson did go to bed before the fireworks, but woke up in the middle because he did not want to miss them. (Besides that he is not sleeping well since he is teething.)

Carson's first 4th of July...isn't he a cutie!

Our first 4th of July as a family!

Cousins in red, white, and blue!

Modesto

Double jogger at the blueberry patch.

Cousins

Blueberry picking on Daddy's shoulders.

He loved playing in the swing at Auntie Nancy's, until Daddy gave him a water balloon and it popped all over him.

Carson is getting really good at sitting up all by himself. He much rather sit and play than to lie down.

Yosemite

Carson riding a Rocking Bear in the one of the gift shops.

Carson such a tired little cub, fell asleep at the end of the hikes.

We made the steep climb to Vernal Falls look out bridge. Next time we are going to the top. Carson looking at the water.

Carson loves looking at everything, and being in the back pack allows him to do just that. He loved going on the hikes in the back pack.

Carson was having too much fun that he fell asleep. He definitely parties hard.

The Merced River was so cold, but that did not stop Carson. He kept trying to squirm back in. It was too cold that Mommy would only let his feet in. He loves the water.

Yosemite Falls was running full. It was beautiful and crowded.

San Francisco

We walked the entire bridge. Carson slept most of it. It was a lot of fun and really windy.

With Carson losing some baby hair, it was funny watching his bangs fly in the wind.

Carson and Daddy's first trip to San Francisco.

Carson loved the front back. He likes to see everything and bounce around.

Misc Fun

With Mommy off for the summer and Carson an early riser, we go for jogs in the morning. Carson loves it.

We took a shower one evening, and he kept trying to grab the water. It was cute!

One day I put Carson on a pillow in front of the TV and he was content, chilling watching TV. He is definitely his Daddy's son.

So we have been trying different baby foods. We were having difficulties at first because he just wanted to spit it while he at. Then he got better. One day he actually ate a whole jar of carrots. He actually got his first tooth the 1st of July. But we are now back to spitting it all out. And I do not mean spitting it out because he does not like it. He is spitting it out because he thinks it is a fun trick. I put in a bite and he spits it out and then he continues to spit using his saliva. It really is a game. We will keep on trying.

Jorge's 1st Father's Day

All tuckered out from swimming.

Carson loves the water and had a blast swimming on Father's Day!
